I Can't Wait Phil Donahue is starting a new TV show, next Monday on MSNBC. I predict his ratings and reviews will start abysmal and go down from there. The heydey of the let's-never-think-about-anything, how-we-feel-about-it-is-all-that-matters liberal is over. Unfortunately, their deleterious influence on our society will linger for a very long time. Phil Donahue's show is going to crash and burn, baby, burn. And he knows it will, too. That's why he (and helpful MSNBC) are already trying to give him an "out": He may be in for a culture shock. “MTV I’m not,” acknowledged Donahue when asked about his age. “We’re going to find out if it matters.” There you have it. Phil will console himself, and his 8 remaining supporters, by saying he's just too old for the MTV generation. Ha. Truth is, America is starting to realize the social morass that brainless liberalism has induced in our nation. And we now prefer that the people telling us what's wrong with the world actually use their brains (when available) instead of giving us only gushy do-whatever-you-want-to-do feel-good-ness. Crash and burn, baby, burn. I would like to say I can't wait to see it happen. But I'm not going to be watching. And neither will anybody else. Lane Core Jr. CIW P Fri. 07/12/02 08:19:24 AM |
