Jesus Meant What He Said, and Said What He Meant

Figurative or literal?

Special to The Mighty Barrister: you may (or may not) find my essay Jesus Meant What He Said, and Said What He Meant to be helpful, especially beginning with the section "Figurative or literal?" (earlier sections reply specifically to another webpage).

.... If the Lord meant "believe in me" when He said that we must eat His Flesh and drink His Blood, then He just flat out didn't answer the Jews' question. I mean, what kind of miraculous sign was that? Did He really do that? Did He really just refuse to answer their question? Or worse, did He admit that He had no miraculous sign to give? ....

P.S. "Spero Forums - Baptist, Protestant, and Catholic Discussion"? I would, on principle, decline to participate on a forum that does not classify Baptists as Protestants. Because they are.
