Today is a Very Important Anniversary

The Munich Olympics, September 5, 1972.

Thirty years ago today, September 5, 1972, at the Olympic Games in Munich, Israeli terrorists attacked and held hostage Palestinian athletes: the Israelis killed two Palestinian athletes immediately; nine other Palestinian athletes eventually died.

No... wait... that doesn't sound right.

Thirty years ago today, September 5, 1972, at the Olympic Games in Munich, Christian terrorists attacked and held hostage Muslim athletes: the Christians killed two Muslim athletes immediately; nine other Muslim athletes eventually died.

No... wait... that doesn't sound right, either.

Thirty years ago today, September 5, 1972, at the Olympic Games in Munich, American terrorists attacked and held hostage Saudi Arabian athletes: the Americans killed two Saudi Arabian athletes immediately; nine other Saudi Arabian athletes eventually died.

No... no... wait... that doesn't sound right, either.

Thirty years ago today, September 5, 1972, at the Olympic Games in Munich, Palestinian terrorists attacked and held hostage Israeli athletes: the Palestianians killed two Israeli athletes immediately; nine other Israeli athletes eventually died.

Ah. Yes. That's right.

Why is the last scenario the only one that even sounds believable?
