Rally for Freedom In Support of Our Troops Pittsburgh, PA, USA, Saturday, March 8, 2003. I have blogged 20 photos, 5 each in 4 blogs, that I took at the rally yesterday. Larger images are 1024x768 (suitable for hi-res wallpaper) and are tagged with "Rally for Freedom / In Support of Our Troops" in the upper left, and with "March 8, 2003 / Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA" in the lower right. Here are thumbnail images to give you an idea of what's been blogged.
In case you are wondering, the local ABC, CBS, & NBC affiliates covered the rally very well, I thought. Believe it or not, the crowd seemed to harbor (and express) animosity towards the following, in decreasing order: France, Hollywood, Mainstream Media, Osama bin Laden, and Saddam Hussein. Now, if you asked me, I'd say the crowd numbered about 1,500. But Quinn said on his radio show this morning that he asked the police and they told him that they had counted 2,500. So, I'm willing to split the difference, as they say, and call it 2,000. BTW, if you like these photos, you may want to see Flight 93 @ ELCore.Net, my photos from the first-anniversary memorial in Shanksville PA, Sep. 11, 2002. P.S. I am pleased, and amazed, to be able to say that this is the 1,000th entry in The Blog from the Core. Lane Core Jr. CIW P Sun. 03/09/03 11:37:25 PM |
