On a Personal Note II

The optometrist says that a vein had hemorrhaged, in my left eye, and some blood pooled behind the retina. Actually, he said, "There's a huuuuge hemorrhage." And he said it several times. Just that way.

It occludes some of my vision, towards the center of my eye. Also, there are some (I don't know how else to put this) streaks of blood that give the effect of red seaweed waving about in my eye. He doesn't think there's anything that can be done about this. It will probably improve, but probably not completely.

I'm going to see a retina specialist in Pittsburgh this morning. Keep me in your prayers. Thanks.
