Those in the Service of the Nation

Let us remember those in the service of our nation, in our prayers at Christmastime: police, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel; all those working for the security of our homeland, whose workload increases rather than diminishes; and, especially, our military personnel, both those at home and those around the world who are far from home for the holidays.

Let us also remember in our prayers their relatives and friends.

And let us remember in our prayers those who have been killed or wounded in the service of the nation.
