Firefighters Memorialize Fallen Captain
Several hundred firefighters attended a memorial service for Capt. Sean T. Whiten at the Melenyzer Funeral Home in Roscoe at 7:00 p.m. today. During that time, I took these photos at the Roscoe Fire Hall in the light of the setting sun.

The Uniontown (PA) Herald-Standard has a very nice article, yesterday:
.... On Saturday afternoon, when much of the small town was busy buying and selling at its annual all-town yard sale, shock rippled through the region as word spread of Whiten's death. By Monday, the reality of his death started to sink in with his fellow firefighters and the community.
Flags flapped in the breeze at half-staff Monday afternoon outside the fire company on Furlong Avenue, where firefighters erected a makeshift memorial from Whiten's fire gear and bouquets of flowers.
Black cloth was draped above the bay doors at the station. A few blocks down, a sign along the road read: "Sean, we will miss you."
Similar tributes were evident miles down the road in Allenport and Charleroi as the Mon Valley mourned Whiten Monday.
A sign in Allenport read: "Teacher. Friend. Brother. Sean Whiten." ....
