Catherine Baker Knoll, RIP

Pennsylvania's lieutenant governor, Catherine Baker Knoll, died, Nov. 12. I met her four years ago when she attended my church's centennial celebration. I recall her saying that she had received invitations to ten events that day, but she wanted to come and celebrate with her friends in Roscoe.

CBK was a quixotic character, to say the least, and an unfortunately rare species of politician: a pro-life Democrat.

Requiescat in pace.
