John B. Tabb Anniversary

Father Tabb, the "poet of the year" here at The Blog from the Core, was received into the Catholic Church this day, September 8, 1872, by Right Rev. James Gibbons, then newly-appointed Bishop of Richmond, later Archbishop of Baltimore and cardinal, and author of The Faith of Our Fathers.
